The Body Is Your Temple
Jesus fasted for 40 days! He was already a slender person, as most people were prior to the 1970's
I don’t think that Jesus had insulin resistance after fasting for 40 days.
If you are not well I hope you consider the possibility that you may have insulin resistance. There are many ways to heal from insulin resistance. The easiest way? Fasting. The best way? Without pharmaceutical products.
If your medical doctor has convinced you that being overweight or eating whatever you want is healthy consider the possibility that they may not be the right doctor for you. All of my research into the subject says that this might not be the right doctor for you. Some people may be healthy and overweight, however this is rare. Also many people may appear to be a healthy weight and still not be healthy.
A sure sign you are possibly insulin resistant is if you have inflammation. You can easily google any health condition you have and add inflammation onto it. You will probably find that your health condition is related to inflammation. Most of the health conditions that people have in the West are related to inflammation.

I found these passages from the Bible. I just want to let you know that I used a search engine to find these passages so they may not be perfect. It may not be like what you read in your Bible. If you want to add anything that you found in your Bible on the subject of fasting and how your body is a temple — a miracle — please leave that in the comment section. Feel free to leave any other comments found in Holy Scripture, from any other faith that you follow on the subject of fasting and caring for the miracle that is your body as well:
Corinthians 6:19-20
New International Version
19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
Matthew 4:1-11
New International Version
Jesus Is Tested in the Wilderness
4 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted[a] by the devil. 2 After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3 The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”
4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’[b]”
Fasting is probably not recommended for people who are underweight or pregnant. If you are diabetic you may need to adjust your medications. If you are on any medication you may need to adjust your medications. This might be a good thing to notice that as you fast you may find that you don’t need as much medication and longer term you may be able to ditch all of your medications. This is why it is no surprise that the medical community is not so hot on the topic.
Get off all medications especially cholesterol and high blood pressure meds.
Try a grain and seed oil free diet heavy in grass fed beef.
Get out in the sun!
Consider having your root canal teeth removed and silver fillings replaced.
Most importantly cut out all sugar which includes anything with fructose or high fructose corn syrup.
Remember cholesterol is good.
