In an earlier post, I discussed the importance of proper breathing for health. As a reminder, I mentioned how we often hear that our health relies on our diet, rest, and exercise. What about the significance of breathing in our health?
In this post, I will share some insights from Patrick McKeown, author of The Oxygen Advantage, based on a YouTube video I watched this morning, which I have linked at the end of this post. In this video, he demonstrates an exercise designed to help clear a blocked nose.
Exercise Steps:
Step 1:
Observe any obstruction in one nostril. Block one side and exhale, then block the other side and exhale. Take note of whether one side feels more blocked than the other.
Step 2:
Breathe in and out through the nose slowly and gently for 30 seconds. At the end of an exhale, block both nostrils, holding your breath with your mouth closed, and gently nod your head 6 times.
Step 3:
Inhale slowly and gently through the nose.
Repeat this process for 6 cycles.
At the end of this exercise, retest the nostrils. Has your congestion cleared up?
It is vital to inhale after nodding because, while you hold your breath on an exhale, nitric oxide builds up in your nose. Inhaling at the end allows this nitric oxide to enter the airway, which has many beneficial properties; in this instance, it helps to open the airways and release tension.
Patrick also mentions that since 1923, historical data has shown that holding your nose on an exhale can clear nasal congestion. Had you heard that before? It's surprising that such helpful information isn't more widely known.
Before doing all this simply put a bit of water in your palm and then force it into your nose with timing inhale 2-3x,preferably with a 1/4 ton of salt in 4 oz of water and stir..then blow out material and then use a t shirt or thin cotton cloth twisted tight and roto rooter your nostrils one time each pulling materalials from side..then try their procedure for twice as good quick results:
Do this 3 x a day: studies found nasal cleaners solutions, sprays etc number one most effective means to prevent flu or covid symptoms from reaching throat or lung stage and also among best at stopping layerings of virus or nano materials from accumulating to worsen lung stage if already there..
Search nasal spray COVID studies to see on yandex.com.
Nasal main entry point of disease, mouth is protected by acids, etc largely.
Once throat is reached at lung pipe opening in throat next to digestive pipe a circle of dense ,infected mucous will form like foam on a sea shore causing inflammation and this foam is sucked into lungs..so gargling with same sea salt formula is key plus preferably anti bacteria, fungals like coconut oil mixed with Oregon oil or one liquid capsule broken w teeth as you ingest a ton of coconut oil raw only..gargle in throat and hold by pipes 3 -5 minutes and repeat every 3-8 hours depending on how effected you are..
Avoid anti biotics
Put a clove of garlic sliver ,size of end of your pinky in honey or jam and quicky chew fine in under one minute or so and swallow to pipe throat point in throat only, hold there as long as you can ie 1-3 minutes..don't rinse throat for 25 min minimum, bare it..onion also works not quite as well..This will kill much bad guys..do oregano after as oils will hold in place longer..mixing honey with coconut oil will also increase throat hold time to 30-60 min your looking for..
Red wine gargle or apple cider 2/3 diluted will break up puss around lung entery ring so bad for lungs in potential.
A bronchial mister or nebulizer salt and oregano, iodine formula or hydrogen peroxide formula of interest if you feel your losing battle and lungs are effected..search these..ok tell Grandma!
While I am an adherent of right breathing, I had never been exposed to this method of fighting congestion... brilliant!
Thanks so much for sharing this, Renee...
