Toxic Denial: The Hidden Impact of Chemicals on Our Gut and Health
I recently came across an article summarizing a new study showing that man-made chemicals are harming the microbiome. I wasn’t surprised, of course, and sarcastically said out loud, “Are they serious?” Still, it’s extremely valuable research. I wanted to review the article publishing the findings because I found its interpretation somewhat misleading.
The article1 claimed that only 168 out of 1,076 chemicals posed a threat to the human microbiome. However, it later admitted that the testing involved only 22 species of gut bacteria — while also acknowledging that the human gut microbiome contains roughly 4,500 different types. Without testing the full range of bacterial species, it’s impossible to accurately assess the true scope of the problem or conclude that only 168 chemicals are risky to human health.
My main takeaway is that many in the natural health field have been right all along about the dangers of synthetic chemicals, despite being constantly attacked by industry-linked commentators who defend these toxic exposures.
Just think of all the chemicals we encounter daily. The article mentioned 1,076 chemicals tested, but that doesn’t mean there are only 1,076 in our environment. It simply reflects the limitations of the study — researchers don’t have the resources to test every chemical in circulation. The real number is far higher.
Another thought: remember when wearing chemical-laden face masks was considered “healthy”? It’s very likely that such practices affected the microbiome, along with all the hand sanitizers and disinfectants pushed during the fake pandemic. Yet, we still see no acknowledgment of harm or accountability. And now Chrystia — whose family once lived in a “displaced persons” camp in post-WWII Germany — is reportedly leaving her ministerial position for a “unpaid” part-time role managing funds for Ukraine2. Uh-huh.

Just think about what the genetically modified foods are doing to us as well. We've been guinea pigs for the pharmaceutical companies for over 40 years. Autism, cancer and you name it, we have the evidence that what they've done to us isn't good.
