I looked at her and the others with us and said dryly, “It is different in Nova Scotia…”
In Nova Scotia, we have a very unique Premier who identifies as a "conservative." I observe that even the New Brunswick Premier who is a Liberal is more Conservative than Tim. Although I don’t even know what these labels mean anymore. When I say conservative I am trying to differentiate from what I observed during COVID, authoritarianism. I thought that Conservative was the alternative, I was wrong, and especially so in Nova Scotia.
The last election was a snap election—something that Tim H. had previously promised not to do as it interferes with purported goals of having “fair elections”. Because it was a snap election, people were voting before they were officially allowed to vote. I observed this because for what ever reason I was at one of the voting stations before voting officially started.
During the snap election, held recently in the fall of 2024, independent candidates were unable to get on the ballot. A new group, known as Independent Nova Scotia, declares that "the party is over," advocating for individuals to run as independents in provincial elections, completely reasonable considering the political landscape in Nova Scotia. . Consequently, Tim Houston, who claims to uphold conservative values, faced no competition, and won a majority. He won a majority, with the lowest voter turnout ever for Nova Scotia, I was there but only to select the “decline my vote” selection on the voting tablet. Our first electronic election, because there is no such thing as hackers, glitches, and we can trust machines totally. OK, I don’t think so.
There is nothing really to distinguish one party from another in Nova Scotia. The only benefit I can think of in regards to when Tim got his position in 2021 during lockdown, was that people were allowed to go to church during lockdowns. Other than that, nothing.
In relation to the ongoing forest ban and Nova Scotia generally, I have collected some memes and images that express the current situation.
In the last election, the snap election, the conservative candidate for my riding, visited my home. I told him I would not be voting for him because the conservatives have adopted communist ideals. I explained to him that my perspective stems from the actions of his predecessor, who required proof of vaccination to attend a Christmas party in December 2021, a fact she now denies online. He remarked that "that’s what government does; they make rules" also “science.” Our conversation ended with him appearing uncomfortable and eager to leave. I told him that he would win, but I made it clear that I would not be voting for him. While he indeed won, we are now witnessing the consequences of a provincial vote for "conservative" policies alongside the new measures meant to ensure fair elections, which have hindered numerous independent candidates from participating in the last election. Here we are. It is different here.
Add to the definition someone who believes that going for a walk in the woods is the cause of forest fires. Meanwhile, since we had a hurricane in 2022, Fiona, there have been no observable efforts to clear dead wood. The province insists that there is an urgent need to spray glyphosate, a known desiccant, on the forests in Nova Scotia so that softwood can be harvested for pulp and paper and the hardwoods will die.

Renee, there seems to be a great deal in the way of surreptitious takeover of Canadian government by the unelected globalists. It’s a pity that the majority will refuse to disobey those traitorous phuquers. If only they did, the government would collapse in a matter of minutes. This is the bane of the rebel; too many sheep who bend over instantly for the kleptocracy.
comment from my Mom, since she no longer can access my blog, because "free speech"..
"The politician has it all wrong. They are not there to make rules, they are there to serve the people. The rules they have made are assinine and serve no purpose other than to wield their power and authority. This is no democracy.
Love, Mom "
