Love this sentence "In other words the best expert on what works for you, in the world, is yourself. " YES! (I have raw butter and milk delivered weekly from a local farm, I'm spoiled)

I had a very similar journey - my long time skepticism of the medical orthodoxy with regards to the causes of obesity, diabetes and heart disease meant that it was not a very large leap of faith to believe that they were wrong about all things covid. Many low carb/keto (some might call them free-thinkers!!) people that I know were very quickly distrustful of the health advice being provided by government

Well said Renee, we have to trust in ourselves. The truth about science is that we are to approach everything with doubt until it is proven true to "OUR" satisfaction.

A few things:

A. As I don't always take the time to read through all your posts, R, I tend to agree with what you have taken the time to write! KETO to me meant the Atkins Diet of old which was vilified as hocus pocus, but since has been proven as right as Keto! And which had proven VERY healthy to me back 20 years in helping me to lose 50 lbs.

B. I have successfully been following IF since 2020. Am doing very well, ty!

C. Where do you get FRESH milk?! Yay, you! I started with low cal (just cuz) unsweetened vanilla Cashew milk.

D. Good job! 🥰

Thanks!!

Unfortunately I don't have access to any fresh raw milk at the moment. Hopefully one day I will meet the right people.

When I was about to end up in a wheelchair with severe arthritis (eating my ankle away, bone on bone) I tried carnivore out of desperation. Within a week my ankle was fine and I could walk without any pain. 2 years later and I see EVERYTHING (that was wrong) only got BETTER. Lost all excess fat, more stable emotionally, less/almost-zero depression, far more energy, etc.

There is NO WAY I would ignore my actual RESULTS due to the opinion of an "expert" who says I should be eating mostly carbs every day;-)
