UPDATE: I have turned paid subscriptions back on. I have lowered my price. If I can get 3 paid subscribers for the whole year I will have the funds to go premium on X. With Premium my reach on X might improve. My hope is to find ways to urge X to improve the programming. Currently programmers there seem to be on holidays and will not improve important features. Expect more articles on this topic in the future.
According to a provision of The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms:
Section 2(b) – Freedom of expression
2. Everyone has the following fundamental freedoms:
(b) freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression, including freedom of the press and other media of communication.1
Since the Charter was written in 1982 a lot of things have changed in Canada. For example when it was written we did not have Social Media.
Now that we have Social Media (SM) there needs to be some accountability from any SM corporation operating in Canada. One reason why is because of the use of the word Media. If SM is now considered the media, that is good news because that really allows freedom of expression to flourish in ways that it never has before.
It is an important opportunity for freedom of the press and other media of communication.
Unfortunately, as you may already know this is not how SM is operated currently.
Recently, I have been actively posting on X on this topic. Some people call it complaining, but that is not exactly what it is. It is advocacy.
I will just leave you with one story because I know you have other things to do. I will return with more stories because there are so many stories to tell, even without having premium.
Recently I replied to a post by
on X. He posted this:Very disappointing to see a movie icon like Harrison Ford claiming Harris is a champion of free speech when we know the Biden-Harris administration pressured Facebook & other social media platforms to actively censor Covid dissenters.
I will put the video up here in case you want to hear what Harrison Ford said.
I agree with David Thunder. I replied to his post, and my reply was slightly off topic, however my actual Profile on X is completely hidden so replying to others is one of the best ways to have any interaction on X. This is my reply to him:
I am censored by X. If I was selling sexual services and had one follower I would have more freedom of expression on X. But I am not. Facebook was censoring me before the government asked them too, as far as I know. Literally fascism because they are colluding.
After I made this reply 2 separate accounts let me know that I was not being censored. I consider this to be gaslighting, I don’t know how else to describe it. However I support freedom of expression and I am happy to have some interaction even though it is often others calling me crazy (gaslighting).

One account said this:
You’re not being censored by x. Yours is the 2nd most relevant comment out of 63. You aren’t being censored
So I replied to this account with this:
On many posts my like disappears, this is censorship. When I like someone's post I am communicating with them. Removing my like is censorship. When a bot selling sexual services likes my post their like does not disappear. They have only 1 follower and are not paying for premium.
Another account said this:
Is it possible that you actually aren't being censored and that people don't like you because you only post the same complaint verbatim over and over again? Looking through your posts, I see that and reposts only. Maybe it's you that's the problem.
This reply from Van Man 1379 is a great example of gaslighting. So what Van Man is telling me is that it is my fault for having bad posts on X. I understand that Van Man may not be aware that he/she is gaslighting me. But I must point it out here that this is what he/she did.
I also replied to this account Van Man 1379 with an example but I will not post that here now. Here is an image if you wanted to see it:
Finally, after making this reply to David Thunder. I reposted it.
Very often I have noticed that when I try to repost something, I am notified that my post has been deleted. This is what happened with my reply to David Thunder. I think it is a pretty good indicator that your post is being hidden. Instead of getting into too many boring details, I will just leave you with a video that shows you how this looks when it happens:
In the end I wish that people like Van Man and US Department of Disinformation realized that, X is censoring us all. It is not a competition on who is more censored. Just because I am less censored than you are, I did not win. If it didn't matter, they wouldn't do it! I repeat — accounts selling sex with 1 follower get more favourable treatment than I do on X.
Thanks for reading!
The algorithms aren't hard rules so it makes it a bit hard to catch what they're doing.. Whether it's by intention or just by accident and they're happy to leave it in that state so we can never figure it out or we keep arguing about it.
Or rather the way to figure it out requires more effort than most people can spend (e.g. you'll need 2 accounts on 2 different phones and a VPN posting about similar things but a different outlook on them and then you can compare and contrast...)
