A Survey
After making the effort of filling out this survey, I post my answers here, because I trust everything I said will fall on deaf ears
I don’t think I can stop talking about politics. But I will try to do it much less.
Here’s a survey I filled out, I am sure the local government will deny that they received these types of replies, so I wanted to keep a public record….
Question: 2. What are the challenges to living in P County?
Answer:
local government did not protect us from provincial and federal government corruption during COVID 19 - the local economy is a mess because of the lockdowns and mandates- it will be hard to make any recovery until local government realizes who is paying them
Question: 5.How would you complete the following statement? “In 10 years I want P county to be…”
Answer: a place where things are less expensive, not more expensive. A place that realizes that we cannot take more people into our community, as the people who already live here cannot even get a job as a cashier in a grocery store, because there are at least 200 people applying for each one of these jobs locally. A place that never lockdowns their people again, that never mandates a mask or vaccine again, because local government reads and understands the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Interpreting the Charter of Rights and Freedoms based on what the main stream media writes, is ignorant. People are becoming poorer, and more and more people cannot find a job or a place to live, that is not democracy, meanwhile the local government is not representing the people. Instead they state the upper government has forced them to do a land use bylaw, insinuating that they work for the provincial government, not the people who actually pay them.
Question: 10. Is there anything else about housing in your community that you’d like to share?
Answer: yes, I think it is quite arrogant to pretend that the housing problem is anything other than people trying to find something to invest in. The economy is completely destroyed by corrupted governments. People have found the only way they can make money is through buying and selling homes. It should come as no surprise that housing is such a problem under these circumstances.
Question 12.What do you see as the biggest challenges for growth and development in your community?
Answer:
1. Local government corruption
2. Provincial government corruption
3. Federal government corruption
Question 13. Is there anything else about the growth and development of P County that you would like to share?
Answer:
It is patronizing of the local government to propose that they give a damn about growth and development of P county after locking us into our homes, and forcing people to share private medical information to live their lives. One thing that would actually make a difference would be to apologize for this obvious denial of people’s basic human rights.
Good comments Renee!
I wonder how many other counties are sadly similar. I’m thinking change begins at the local level where officials have to look at the consequences of their decisions up close. But the deck is stacked unfortunately. Thank you for posting your responses. We are not alone; are there more like-minded than we think?
