20 Years Ago I Had a Fascinating Cold
Anecdotes - what are they good for? Only good for proving the existence of a deadly novel virus, or something like that...

It was super strange. Before catching this severe and strange cold I had been going through a very stressful time in my life. When this stressful time came to an end and I was finally getting back to normal I caught the most fascinating, severe and strange cold of my life. Maybe I was the first COVID survivor. But I had it 20 years before anyone else did. Who knows? Maybe it was just a cold and who cares? I dunno. But nowadays these are the things people talk about.
One thing that I thought was super weird was how it came out of nowhere. I hadn't been around any sick people. It was such a severe cold that I thought I must have caught it from someone else who had a serious infection. So my imagination took me away into the possibility that it has been lying around inside my body for a couple of years, dormant, waiting. It waited until I was ready for it. As I mentioned before I had been through something very stressful - sorry I don't want to get into the details about that- but it was super stressful so in my imagination I thought "Aha, it was just waiting there, and what a miracle it was that it waited for me to clear that other hurdle before attacking.”
I don't remember all the details. But it was the worst cough I have ever had in my life. I had to sleep in a chair. Because if I lay down I couldn't sleep because I'd be non stop coughing. I bought some over the counter cough medicine. It was terrible medicine, it didn't work at all. Ok well one strange detail that might seem inappropriate but oh well, this OTC med made my front hole - sometimes called bonus hole- area totally numb and that was all it did. I was really surprised that this was on a shelf in a store. Why? Who woh woh woh woh. Anecdotes are never allowed to criticize a product, it was probably the COVID that did that....
Finally one day I recovered. Unfortunately I don't remember all the details, for example I don't know if I was also the first long COVID survivor as well 20 years ago. This was not something I had ever considered before I heard about it — LC — in 2021. There were no tests at that time. Thank the Lord for that miracle.
I didn't go to the hospital.
Since then I have not had any spectacular colds. Oh well, sorry to bore you. I made sure to touch my face as much as possible during 2020. I also was not enthusiastically washing my hands like other people were.
